Due to increased interest from my clients, I have decided to now formally offer my TradeMark Registration Service.

Over the last 3 years, I have helped various clients protect their logos and designs, by providing a full Trade Mark registration service. Working closely with the IPO (Intellectual Property Office), I can now offer a full service for all classes of registration in the UK.

With the increase in indentity theft in recent times, the need to protect the rights of your Intellectual Property is becoming ever-more important.

What Does it all mean? Quite simply, if you are using a non registered trade mark/logo now, you are at liberty to add the familiar TM symbol next to it. This just means that YOU are stating that this is your Trade Mark. However, when it is registerd, THEN you can legally add the ® symbol.

The most popular comments I hear are that, 'Should I get it protected?, How do I do it?, What does it mean?'

Firstly, of course it is entirely up to you if you want to protect your Intelluctual Property. There is no obligation to do so and nobody should 'Scare' you into doing it. However, prudence, maybe the best judge. You have to consider the balance of the what could happen and how you can help prevent that.

As for 'How' to do it, you can simply, give me a call and I will sort everything out. Alternativley, you can go to the IPO web site and do it all yourself, it's not difficult, but there is a lot of paperwork and reading to do - I feel that I have pitched my fee to make it worth your while getting me to do it for you.

Protect your Domain too!
As well protecting Logos and Slogans, you can now protect your domain name. This is very important. As you may or may not know, nobody actually 'owns' their domain name, every domain name is only 'registered' in your name - and depending on your provider, it may not even be in YOUR name! Whislt you can register your domain for up to five years, if, at any time you are unable to renew your domain, then someone else can, meaning they can either use it to 'sell' back to you for a premium, or at worse, use it to trade on your business/domain name. Registering your domain as a Trade Mark offers you 10 years of guaranteed legal protection.

What does it all cost?
I have tried to make this very straightforward. Quite simply, to make an application to register a Trade Mark is £395, which includes the £200 IPO Fee. My work includes all the research of the IPO Database to ensure there are no other similar marks on file. Then all the form filling and producing drawings or images of the applied Trade Mark. I also handle all the documentation on your behalf with the IPO.

To Trade Mark a domain name, the the fee is just £345.

This fee also includes the registering of one class. This is adequate for most applications, but businesses wishing to obtain a Trade Mark of their brand, for various products and services, then additional classess may have to be stated in the original application. I can advise on this. The IPO fee for each additional class is £50.

If you think you may like to learn more about how I can arrange the Trade Mark registration for you, then please give me a call on 01225 812578 or email me at rob@mediafresh.co.uk
